In support of the company mission, your goal is to provide managerial and operational support under the direction of the Deputy Operations Manager. 

 

The Senior Operations Coordinator plays a key role in the successful and profitable delivery of Intrepid and Wildland Trekking Co. trips, ensuring all operations meet the standards set by company policies and practices. This position provides both managerial and operational support and acts as a backup to maintain continuity within the program. As the Senior Operations Coordinator, you will oversee day-to-day branch operations and may assume managerial responsibilities in the Deputy Operations Manager’s absence. You may also be called upon to perform other duties as needed, depending on business circumstances. 

 

This is a seasonal position based in Mariposa, CA. The salary for this role is $24–26/hr USD, depending on experience. Flexibility is essential, as you will be required to participate in “on-call” duties for the department’s emergency phone when scheduled.

 

You will have a passion for travel and bring:   

  • Supervisory and facilitation experience 

  • Strong organization and communication skills 

  • Experience in assisting with new hire training  

  • Proficiency with Google Drive apps, Microsoft Office and previous experience with a CRM system 

  • Salesforce experience is highly regarded, but not essential! 

What you need to know: 

  • This position requires ability to frequently lift, push and pull weights up to fifty (50) lbs, as well as frequent bending, stooping, and squatting over the course of a full work shift 

  • At least 21 years of age and physical capability to meet company and DOT driving requirements  

  • Maintain current Wilderness First Responder & CPR 

  • Must pass a background check 

  • Ability to pass a drug test 

  • A willingness to maintain a flexible schedule and work weekends and/or holidays

  • During April-September, when you are scheduled to work, optional housing is available. This will include a private bedroom and a closet with a shared bathroom. 

 

You will bring your strong supervisory, facilitation and organization skills. You’ll have strong attention to detail and take a collaborative approach to working with other teams – all while sharing in Intrepid’s core values of integrity, innovation, fun, passion, growth, and responsibility.
