Not only was this trip my first one with Intrepid, it was actually the first time I have ever been on a plane! For someone who has been working behind the scenes in a travel company for 7 years, this FOC was eye opening to say the least. I saw my beautiful country through a lens I had never had access to, and connected with international travellers I wouldn’t have otherwise. I am not only thankful to my fantastic leader, but remain deeply grateful to the business and the local DMC who make these things possible. FOC trips are more than just travel, they are opportunities to learn, grow and connect with the experiences we can give to others.

My FOC trip was a deep dive into the essence of our trips, the strength of our team, and the magic that happens when Intrepid people come together. From the turquoise waters of Antalya, the heart of Konya, dreamlike beauty of Cappadocia, and vibrant Istanbul - this journey was more than a destination checklist. This trip was a reminder of the “why” behind our work - creating meaningful connections, delivering safe enriching experiences, and working alongside incredible humans who make it all possible. I am feeling proud, inspired, and motivated to bring the energy from this experience back to work.

Real Bolivia & Argentina
My adventure started in Bolivia, and worked its way into Chile and finally over to Argentina. I discovered countries full of history, local cultures and cuisines and breathtaking landscapes that left me speechless. The calm of the desert and the starry skies are things I will never forget, not to mention the warm welcoming people we met along the way. On this trip I fell in love with cobbled streets, delicious food and the colours surrounding me, not only in the cities but also in the sky. Each place I visited left an unforgettable mark, and I was so grateful to be able to learn more about the incredible work we do at Intrepid.

At Intrepid, we get that life isn’t one-size-fits-all - and work shouldn’t be either.
Both travel and life can be unpredictable, so flexibility is a part of how we do things. It’s not just the hours we work; it’s the projects we challenge ourselves with, the extra responsibilities we embrace, and those random tasks outside our usual day-today. Our people approach these with curiosity and eagerness, knowing it’s how they learn and grow.
Hybrid & Flex Work
Our way of working is adaptable, not rigid. We offer a variety of flexible options: some work full-time from the office, others are hybrid, and many adjust their hours to connect with their broader global team. Each office has its own approach, and once our people settle into their roles and our ways of working, they can find the balance that works best for them.
Every year our people can work from anywhere for up to four weeks - giving them the freedom to extend a holiday, visit one of our global hubs, or simply soak up a change of scenery.
Family Leave
No matter where our people are in the world, we offer a minimum of 10 weeks of paid parental leave for every new parent and a range of family leave policies such as compassionate leave for pregnancy loss, bereavement and family violence leave.
Wellbeing
We have wellbeing initiatives throughout the year, including yearly career and wellbeing check-ins and all our people have access to an Employee Assistance Program, which provides confidential and professional support.
