We are Intrepid

As a Fleet and Operations Coordinator, you’ll play an important role behind the scenes, helping ensure our people, vehicles, gear, and facilities are ready to deliver safe, high-quality experiences in the field. In alignment with Intrepid’s mission and Purpose Beyond Profit ethos, you’ll support safe, compliant, and efficient Wildland Trekking and North America operations by coordinating fleet systems, vehicle and driver compliance, vehicle-related permits, and field-readiness workflows.

This role maintains the systems, checklists, and communication processes that help keep fleet assets, drivers, facilities, gear, and field operations prepared for trip delivery.

You’ll also provide hands-on operational support under the direction of the Fleet Manager. This may include warehouse organization, facility maintenance, fleet errands, shuttle driving, field evacuation support, guide check-ins, and other projects that help maintain consistent standards across our trip operations.

This is a permanent, onsite position based at our office in Golden, Colorado, with a salary of $25.00–$27.00 USD per hour, depending on experience, plus a great range of benefits and perks.

A passion for travel is a must-have! With it you’ll bring:

  • 2+ years of experience working in the travel industry preferred.

  • Highly organized and communicative, with the ability to manage changing priorities, competing deadlines, and ambiguous situations while working effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft applications, particularly Word and Excel, with an interest in developing systems for information management, safety, and operational readiness.

  • Demonstrated experience driving 15-passenger vans with trailers, along with a general understanding of gas-powered vehicle maintenance requirements.

  • Ability to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs, as well as bend, stoop, and squat throughout a full work shift. The role also requires fine manual dexterity to perform basic tasks.

  • Meets company and DOT driving requirements and must successfully complete a background check. Proven ability to make well-informed decisions in both routine and emergency situations.
