Deputy Operations Manager, Greater Yellowstone and CO
The Deputy Operations Manager (DOM) plays a leadership role in ensuring the successful and profitable delivery of Intrepid and Wildland Trekking Co. trips, in alignment with company policies, standards, and operational best practices. This position serves as a key liaison between field staff in the Greater Yellowstone and Colorado branches and the broader Operations teams, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
The DOM is responsible for the overall performance and quality of all trips within their branches, including overseeing and operating the branch warehouse location and managing business administrative functions related to branch operations. Travel between the two branches is required, with associated costs covered by the company.
In addition, the DOM supports contracting, reservations, sales, and other branch-related operational functions. From time to time, they may also be required to take on additional responsibilities outside the scope of these core duties, as business needs evolve
This is a Full-Time Contracted Position that will operate onsite out of our office in Bozeman, Montana or Denver, Colorado. The salary range for this position is USD $57,000–$59,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package and additional company perks.
Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:

Extensive knowledge of the field area

Travel industry work experience, preferably as a tour leader or guide.

Excellent communication (verbal & written) in English.

Proficiency with Google Drive apps, Microsoft Office/Excel and previous experience with a CRM system; Salesforce preferred.

Strong supervisory, facilitation, and organizational skills.
Additional requirements you’ll bring with you include:

Office duties required, ability to lift up to 20 pounds and work at a computer station up to 40 hours per week.

Meet company and DOT driving requirements and maintain a valid Driver’s License; Must be at least 21 years of age.

Maintain a current Wilderness First Responder, CPR & Epi Certification.

Must pass a background check.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be available for random drug screens (CA only)
