Business Development Manager
Are you a relationship-driven sales professional who loves being on the road and turning conversations into long-term partnerships? As our Business Development Manager, you'll play a key role in growing Intrepid Travel's B2B business, expanding our brand presence, and creating meaningful connections with travel partners throughout your territory.
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for accelerating B2B sales growth by developing strong partner relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and serving as a passionate representative for Intrepid Travel. As a commercially minded, relationship-focused professional, you'll use your business development expertise to expand market share, deepen partner engagement, and collaborate across teams to deliver meaningful business results. Success in this role is measured through clear KPIs, including sales growth, partner retention, engagement activity, and overall contribution to regional targets.
This is a full-time, permanent remote position that requires regular travel throughout your assigned territory. The salary for this role is $72,000–$78,000 USD, depending on experience, plus a performance-based commission structure. We also offer four weeks of paid vacation, a comprehensive benefits package, and a range of additional perks.
We are hiring two Business Development Managers, with one role based in the Greater New York City / Boston area and one based in Los Angeles, California
Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:

2+ years of experience in B2B or B2C sales roles, with a proven record of meeting or exceeding performance KPIs and sales targets

Experience in outside sales, account management, or business development

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong partner relationships that drive measurable sales growth and market share

2+ years of experience in the travel and tourism industry

Excellent public speaking, presentation creation and execution, and communication skills, with confidence representing the brand externally

Strong personal drive, commercial acumen, and motivation to deliver against defined sales and engagement metrics

Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle, with willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory
