We are Intrepid

The world needs more Intrepid people:

At Intrepid, our trips don’t run themselves - they’re powered by brilliant people on the ground who know the destination inside out and care deeply about delivering exceptional experiences. We’re looking for a Ground Manager, Tanzania to help make that happen.

Based full-time, onsite in Arusha, you’ll be a key partner to our General Manager and Finance Manager, keeping day-to-day country operations running smoothly and our trips operating safely, compliantly and profitably. From Kilimanjaro treks to safaris and complex group itineraries, you’ll be at the heart of our Tanzania operation - owning the detail, supporting teams, and making sure every trip delivers on the Intrepid promise.

This is a hands-on, operational role for someone who understands the realities of ground logistics in Tanzania, is comfortable making decisions, and enjoys being the person others rely on to make things work.

Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:

  • Strong experience in tours and travel operations in Tanzania, including Kilimanjaro trekking and safari operations

  • Proven experience managing day-to-day ground operations and complex group logistics

  • People management experience, supporting and guiding operational teams

  • In-depth knowledge of Tanzanian tourism regulations, park authority requirements and compliance

  • Confident communication skills in English (written and spoken)

  • Practical working knowledge of operational systems and tools, including Excel and Word

Please note: Over the Christmas and New Year period, we will be pausing active recruitment. You may experience a delay in communication during this time, but we’ll resume reviewing applications in early January. Thank you for your patience.
