Sales Manager DMC
Intrepid travellers want more than just holidays. They want unforgettable memories and a purpose-backed connection with the community, and the people they meet. As our Sales Manager for Intrepid DMC Colombo, you’ll help make these trips happen!
In this role, you’ll manage a team of passionate consultants who craft tailor-made travel itineraries. You’ll ensure they have the training and support to exceed sales targets while delivering outstanding customer service. You’ll ensure that Intrepid DMC standards and philosophies are always upheld.
Beyond leading the team, you’ll also take on your own portfolio of clients, handling complex, high-value bookings. Going further, you’ll collaborate with contracting, reservations, and operations teams to refine our offerings and operational processes.
Understanding our itineraries is essential as you’ll handle external partners and Intrepid Global Tailormade teams; constantly ensuring that trip sales and trip arrangements are in order. You’ll also be proactive in keeping Intrepid a cut above the rest by strategising and identifying opportunities for growth!
This is a full-time permanent position, operating out of our office in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Some of the experience you’ll bring may include:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a management role within a Destination Management Company (DMC)/ travel industry.

At least 2 years' direct experience working with foreign partners.

Strong destination and local travel knowledge

Excellent English communication skills

Proven supervisory experience, leading and developing a high-performing sales team

Experience working in adventure travel with product/ itinerary development would be an added advantage.
