The world needs more Intrepid people: 

At Intrepid, we believe outstanding trips are a collective effort – which is why we’re looking for a Contracting Assistant to help manage our supplier information. From accommodation and activities to transportation, our suppliers are key in delivering unforgettable experiences for our customers travelling across Sri Lanka!

In this role, you’ll support the Contracting Manager with key administrative tasks; creating supplier profiles on our in-house system, uploading supplier contracts and rates correctly, and assisting with contract renewals/ new agreements. By keeping information up to date, you’ll ensure our Tour Leaders and suppliers always have the right details at their fingertips. 

You’ll also collaborate with our Sales teams for trip costings and itinerary creation, while contributing to sourcing new suppliers. Most importantly, you’ll gain valuable insight into the contracting function; from securing the best deals to building trusted relationships with local suppliers!

This is a full-time permanent position based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.  

Some of the experience you’ll bring may include: 

  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. 
  • Knowledge of suppliers, destinations and the Sri Lanka travel industry is an added advantage. 
  • Willingness to travel within Sri Lanka for supplier visits and market research. 
  • Confidence with using systems and technology. 
  • Previous experience in procurement, contracting within the travel sector is beneficial. 
  • Good communication and people skills.
