We are Intrepid

The world needs more Intrepid people:

Step into the heart of adventure in Broome, where red earth meets turquoise waters, and no two days at Intrepid are ever the same. As a Ground Coordinator with Intrepid Travel, you’ll be at the forefront of the action, responsible for ensuring every trip departs seamlessly and every small detail is taken care of. From preparing unforgettable camping and hiking experiences to supporting tour leaders on the ground, this is your chance to play a vital role in bringing fantastic journeys to life.

Reporting to the ground manager, you’ll be responsible for the hands-on duties at the depot and leader house, creating an organised and welcoming environment for teams both before and after their trips. Your days will be varied, consisting of purchasing trip provisions, managing logistics, cleaning trucks and camping equipment, minor vehicle and equipment repairs, and jumping in to solve challenges as they arise. With your strong organisation skills and passion for travel, you’ll help deliver exceptional experiences for both leaders and travellers alike, all while keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes.

Join a fun team in Broome, where you can bring your energy, adaptability and love of adventure, and help to bring together journeys that truly change the way people see the world. This role is based on site, out of our depot in Broome, working on-site with flexibility around working days to include some weekends.

Some of the experience you have might include:

  • Experience either as a Tour Leader, or in a Tour Operations Role

  • Solid understanding of the processes and practices of trip preparation, particularly hiking and camping trips

  • Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks, prioritise responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to effectively interact with tour leaders, operations staff and other stakeholders

  • A team player who creates a happy, team-focused environment

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • A full medium-rigid drivers licence or willingness to obtain one
