The Senior Operations Coordinator (SOC) plays a pivotal role in the successful and profitable delivery of Intrepid trips, ensuring they meet the standards outlined in Intrepid’s policies and practices. This position provides operational support and redundancy within the program. The Senior Operations Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Squamish Warehouse, including equipment and warehouse organization, equipment maintenance and repairs, and fleet support. The SOC also holds managerial authority in the absence of the Operations Manager. 

 

In addition, they may be expected to perform other duties from time to time that fall outside the scope of these responsibilities, as business needs require. Intrepid offers our team of leaders a warehouse and guide accommodation to rest between tours. The back and forth logistics communicated to leaders will be the SOC’s responsibility, with the guidance of the Operations Manager. 

 

This is a full-time seasonal role from April to October 2026 and will be based onsite at our office in Squamish, BC. 

 

Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include: 

 

  • Extensive knowledge of the field area; Western Canada (British Columbia and Alberta)  

  • Travel industry work experience, preferably as a tour leader or guide;  

  • Excellent communication (verbal & written) in English;  

  • Proficiency with Google Drive apps, Microsoft Office/Excel and previous experience with a CRM system; Salesforce preferred;  

  • Strong facilitation and organization skills;   

  • Office and warehouse duties required, ability to lift up-to 20 pounds, handle physical labour tasks, and work at a computer station up to 40 hours-per-week;   

  • Meet company and commercial driving requirements and maintain a valid Driver’s License; 

  • Must be at least 21 years of age;  

  • Maintain 16-hour CPR-C First Aid Certification;   

  • Must pass a background check
