At Intrepid, we turn travel dreams into reality, which is why we’re looking for a Reservations Assistant to keep every detail in check, so our travellers can enjoy their trips worry-free!  

 

The Reservations Assistant provides essential administrative support to the Reservations Team, playing a key role in coordinating accommodation, transportation, and activities across regional trips, as well as supporting logistics for the Central American DMC & Mexico. 

 

This role is responsible for accurately and efficiently confirming bookings with all suppliers for both series and FIT trips, ensuring costs align with budget expectations, and maintaining up-to-date, accurate records within the company database.  

 

In addition, the Reservations Assistant supports the Supervisor & Manager in continuously improving reservations processes and optimizing system use.  

 

This is a Full-Time Permanent Position that will operate on a hybrid basis out of our office in San Jose, Costa Rica.  

 

Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:  

  • A strong understanding of and passion for Intrepid-style travel, including the different styles across our brands.  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.  

  • Strong computer skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft Office.  

  • Experience with reservation systems is advantageous, along with familiarity in ticketing and reservation processes such as block bookings, vouchers, and rooming lists.  

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively.  

  • A team player who can contribute to a positive, fun work environment while consistently meeting objectives.  

  • Understanding of the local travel industry - particularly in Costa Rica - with knowledge of other Central American countries & Mexico considered an asset.
