Reservations Assistant

The Reservations Assistant provides essential administrative support to the Reservations Team, playing a key role in coordinating accommodation, transportation, and activities across regional trips, as well as supporting logistics for the Central American DMC & Mexico.
This role is responsible for accurately and efficiently confirming bookings with all suppliers for both series and FIT trips, ensuring costs align with budget expectations, and maintaining up-to-date, accurate records within the company database.
In addition, the Reservations Assistant supports the Supervisor & Manager in continuously improving reservations processes and optimizing system use.
This is a Full-Time Permanent Position that will operate on a hybrid basis out of our office in San Jose, Costa Rica.
Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:

A strong understanding of and passion for Intrepid-style travel, including the different styles across our brands.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.

Strong computer skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Experience with reservation systems is advantageous, along with familiarity in ticketing and reservation processes such as block bookings, vouchers, and rooming lists.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively.

A team player who can contribute to a positive, fun work environment while consistently meeting objectives.

Understanding of the local travel industry - particularly in Costa Rica - with knowledge of other Central American countries & Mexico considered an asset.
