The world needs more Intrepid people: 

As the Contracting Manager, you are responsible for managing and developing the Contracting department in Peru and Bolivia. You will secure a wide range of services at the most competitive rates and terms, while also establishing effective contracting systems. 

 

Your role includes overseeing supplier agreements, improving trip profitability, and enhancing the overall quality of service. You will maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify alternative options when necessary. 

 

You will also support the strategic direction set by the General Manager and collaborate with other departments to achieve the company’s goals of cost-effectiveness in both current and new itineraries for Intrepid and its external business partners. 

 

This is a Full-Time Permanent Position that will operate on a hybrid basis out of our office in Lima, Peru.     

 

Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include: 

  • Proven experience in contracting and sourcing suppliers 

  • A thorough understanding of and passion for Intrepid style of travel, including the styles of our different brands.  

  • Knowledge of product, suppliers, destinations, and the travel industry in Peru & Bolivia. 

  • Excellent negotiation skills & business ethics 

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish 

  • Undergraduate and graduate degrees would be an advantage 

  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and a collaborative team spirit.
