Country Sales Executive - New Zealand
New Zealand
Are you someone who knows New Zealand inside out? Do you love travel and thrive off turning someone’s travel dreams into a trip they’ll never forget? We’re looking for a Country Sales Executive to join our Intrepid Travel team in Auckland. You’ll be the travel expert our customers will come to rely on. In this role, you will create inspiring private group and tailored FIT journeys, building itineraries, recommending experiences and bringing their trip ideas to life. From the first enquiry through to departure date, you’ll own the customer journey and make sure every interaction feels as memorable as the trip itself.
We're looking for someone who brings proven sales experience, strong destination knowledge and at least two years’ experience working for a New Zealand inbound tour operator. You’ll be confident building relationships, understanding what makes each traveller tick and turning that insight into great travel experiences, while keeping an eye on conversion, targets and commercial results. You'll collaborate across the Country Office with our Reservations, Operations, Product and Contracting teams to make sure every detail is right, so if you are a natural communicator who is passionate about creating genuine travel experiences, your next adventure might be waiting!
This is a full-time, permanent role based in our Auckland office on a hybrid basis (3 days per week in the office). The successful candidate will be eligible to fantastic benefits and sales commission, we’ll share more details and a clear breakdown of sales targets and commission during the official interview process.
Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:
-
Previous Sales experience essential, with the ability to achieve high conversion rates
-
At least 2 years’ experience of working for a New Zealand inbound tour operator with strong destination travel knowledge
-
Experience working with New Zealand hotel and activity suppliers
-
Certificate or Diploma in tourism (Level 5 or above)
-
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
-
Fluent English language skills (written and verbal)
