We are Intrepid

The world needs more Intrepid people:

The incredible journeys we create across Nepal are made possible by the passionate people behind the scenes who bring every detail together.

As our French-speaking Deputy Operations Manager, you'll work with the Operations Manager to deliver exceptional travel experiences for French-speaking travellers, supporting every stage of the journey from trip preparation through to on-the-ground delivery.

You'll be the key French-speaking connection between Tour Leaders, travellers, partners and internal teams, providing day-to-day operational support, navigating unexpected challenges and ensuring accurate, timely communication across our business.
You'll also develop and support our Tour Leader community through training and coaching, while contributing to trip improvements, new product ideas, trip budgeting and reports.

Alongside leading and supporting French-speaking operational activities, you'll also play an active role across the wider DMC Operations team, contributing to other operational areas and stepping in where business needs require.

From supporting travellers and Tour Leaders to improving the way we operate, you'll help shape the future of Intrepid's journeys in Nepal!

This is a full-time permanent position, where you will work on-site at our office in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Some of the essential experience you’ll bring may include:

  • Extensive travel experience in Nepal, ideally including experience leading trips in mountain regions and strong knowledge of on-the-ground logistics.
  • Fluency in French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication and translation skills.
  • Experience supporting French-speaking travellers, Tour Leaders or travel partners.
  • Strong organisational, coaching and training skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively.
