Ooraminna Station Homestead is a remote outback accommodation set on Arrernte Country, located in the heart of Central Australia. Ooraminna provides guests with an immersive, nature‑based and culturally rich outback experience where stories of Country, film, pastoral life and contemporary travel intersect. 

 

The Opportunity 

As our Maintenance Manager, you will play an important role in the daily operations and long‑term sustainability of the property. You will be responsible for general maintenance and grounds management across the property, including facilities, landscaping and infrastructure, to ensure a safe, functional and visually appealing environment for guests and staff. 

 

This role involves practical, hands‑on work in outdoor conditions and supports both planned (preventative) and urgent (responsive) maintenance tasks. You will actively contribute to a safe and high‑quality guest experience through well‑maintained facilities and grounds. You will also ensure sustainable and environmentally responsible practices are maintained or implemented. 

 

This is a full‑time permanent position based at Ooraminna Station Homestead, approximately a 35‑minute drive from Alice Springs. Subsidised onsite accommodation is available if desired and can be discussed during the recruitment process.

  • Experience in general maintenance, landscaping or facilities work (tourism or hospitality experience highly regarded) 
  • Working knowledge of tools, equipment and safety procedures 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an outdoor setting 
  • Commitment to sustainable, environmentally responsible and land care practices 
  • Clear communication and problem‑solving skills 
  • A valid driver’s license
