We are Intrepid

The world needs more Intrepid people:

At Intrepid, we invite you to share in the uncommon – the people, the culture and the community. And right now, we are looking for a Deputy Operations Manager to deliver uncommon travel experiences across Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan!

In this role, you’ll support the Operations Manager in ensuring our Intrepid trips run seamlessly. Some of the exciting things you’ll handle are day-to-day trip operations, resolving on-ground issues and ensuring every detail is delivered to Intrepid standards. Communication is key - you’ll be a trusted partner to our Tour Leaders, providing them with up‑to‑date trip info, guidance, and bringing their ideas and concerns back to management.

You’ll play a big part in training and developing our Leaders, nurturing strong relationships with our suppliers, and supporting itinerary planning. Safety and traveler satisfaction sit at the heart of everything we do, so you’ll also help enforce our safety processes by conducting regular safety audits of our trips operating across Central Asia.

This is a full-time remote permanent position, where you can be based remotely from Kyrgyzstan or Kazakhstan and travel to our Uzbekistan Country office when required.

Some of the essential experience you’ll bring may include:

  • Extensive knowledge and travel experience across Central Asia.
  • Previous experience with managing on-the-ground logistics of trips in the region.
  • Proven people management and training experience with diverse teams of Leaders.
  • Outstanding organizational and office administration skills.
  • High level of computer systems literacy.
  • Strong English communication skills.
