We are Intrepid

The world needs more Intrepid people:

At Intrepid, strong on‑the‑ground operations are essential to delivering safe, seamless and memorable trips. We’re looking for an Operations Manager, Jordan to help lead those efforts and ensure our travellers experience Jordan at its best.

Based in Jordan, you’ll have overall responsibility for the safe, successful and profitable running of all trips – for Intrepid brands and external clients – in line with company standards and policies. You’ll be the main point of contact for operational matters between our local offices and Group Leaders in Jordan, the DMC Global Operations team, and Product teams across the business.

You’ll play a key part in day‑to‑day trip operations: supporting leaders, coordinating logistics, resolving issues as they arise, and ensuring all trips meet Intrepid’s operating standards. This role calls for someone who can balance detail with big‑picture thinking, make sound decisions under pressure, and maintain a strong safety culture.

This is a varied, fast‑paced role suited to someone with deep experience in ground operations or group leading, strong knowledge of Jordan and the region, and the confidence to manage teams and respond to shifting priorities.

This is a full‑time, permanent role based onsite in Jordan.

Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:

  • A thorough understanding of – and passion for – DMC’s style of travel, including the styles of our different brands

  • In‑depth knowledge of product, itineraries, destinations and the adventure travel industry in Jordan and the wider Middle East

  • Experience managing people and teams, including remote employees

  • Experience in training, coaching or developing leaders and teams

  • A background in operations management and/or tour leading or guiding

  • The ability to manage crises calmly and effectively and take responsibility for the safety of others

  • Outstanding organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to delegate

  • Excellent English written and spoken communication skills

You’ll also be comfortable working with a diverse, multinational group of leaders, understand regional culture and business etiquette, and bring strong relationship‑management skills, adaptability and a continuous‑improvement mindset.

If you’re passionate about Jordan, thrive in operational environments, and want to play a key role in delivering exceptional small‑group adventures, we’d love to hear from you.
