Tour Leader, Italy

Every day will be different, but every day you will:

Deliver exceptional customer experiences and share your love of travel every step of the way - whether that’s leading a morning market walk, arranging a local craft workshop, or hosting a home-cooked meal with a family. You’ll help create moments that stay with our travellers long after the trip ends.

Prioritise the safety and wellbeing of your group. You’ll stay calm and professional when challenges arise - from lost passports and medical needs to group dynamics - ensuring travellers feel supported the entire time.

Lead and manage trips in line with itineraries and budgets, while completing all required trip administration accurately and on time.

To be considered you must have:

Excellent communication skills in English and Italian.

Italian Patentino di Accompagnatore Turistico (Professional Qualification for Tour Leaders in Italy).

Proven customer service experience, with the ability to build strong relationships and connect with travellers from diverse backgrounds.

First-hand travel and tour leading experience in Italy and across Europe, with a genuine passion for sharing these regions.

Basic computer skills, including confidence using email, Word, and Excel.

Full rights to work in Italy and within the European Union.
What you need to know:

This is a freelance contract position, which will give you flexibility in when and how you work. However strong availability for at least 2–3 trips between August, September and October is required.

We are recruiting for leaders who will complete a fully online training programme, followed by a shadowing training trip. The training is scheduled for 6th - 10th July (availability across these dates is required). More details will be shared at interview.

With extended hours, lots of walking and activities, and engaging with travellers, it’s important that you are prepared both mentally and physically for the challenge! Activities include guiding on foot, using public transport or private transfers, and other forms of non-motorised travel across big cities, protected areas, and non-protected environments.

You’ll need the ability to travel and spend time away from home, as our leaders often travel for extended periods, with some tours spanning up to four weeks.
