Sales Consultant
As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for creating personalized quotes and helping plan trips for private groups and independent travellers (FIT). You will serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring we respond quickly and deliver everything we promise. This includes answering sales emails and calls, building itineraries, supporting product development, preparing trip documents, and providing excellent customer service, all in line with Intrepid Travel’s standards and values.
Additionally, the Sales Consultant is responsible for filling our Galápagos boats, managing sales confirmations, quoting tailor-made itineraries, informing travel agents about availability, confirming bookings, and providing outstanding service to existing clients.
This role also involves distributing promotions to travel agencies, hotels, Spanish schools, and other opportunities, as well as reporting sales as requested, always with a focus on achieving monthly sales targets.
The Sales Consultant works closely with the Reservations and Operations teams to ensure each trip runs smoothly and safely. A successful candidate in this role will build strong client relationships, stay organized, and help deliver unforgettable travel experiences.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in our office in Quito, Ecuador.
Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:

Experience selling Ecuador, Island Hopping & Galapagos products to travel agents and direct clients.

Experience and/or strong interest in sales, quoting, and developing travel itineraries (groups, FIT, tailor-made) using Excel and booking systems.

Competent in MS Office 365 products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Excellent written and spoken English and Spanish.

High attention to detail and confidence working with numbers.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, even during busy periods.

Proactive and focused on finding practical solutions to problems.
