In this role, you’ll provide managerial and administrative support to the Operations Manager, by handling day-to-day trip issues and on-the-ground trip organisation. You’ll contribute to the successful operation of all our trips and travel products under Intrepid DMC China.  
You’ll be the first point of contact for our Tour Leaders, from administerial matters to on-ground situations. You’ll support them with up-to-date trip information, problem-solving on the ground, and learning and development. You’ll build strong relationships with local partners and help source and negotiate suppliers. You’ll ensure our trips are in line with Intrepid’s safety, branding and Responsible Travel standards. Moreover, you’ll collaborate globally with our teams across Product, Finance, People and Operations to support projects and improve efficiencies. 

 

This is a full-time permanent position based in our office in Beijing, China, and will require some flexibility in work hours due to the operational nature of the role.

Some of the experience you’ll bring may include: 

  • Extensive travel experience and passion for the local region. 
  • Experience managing people and supporting teams.   
  • Ability to manage operational incidents and ensure traveller safety  
  • Experience in the travel industry, preferably as a Group Leader for Intrepid or similar. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Word and Excel
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Chinese
