Contracting Manager, Central Europe
Join Intrepid as a Contracting Manager and take the lead in shaping and expanding our Central Europe Contracting Department. This exciting role places you at the heart of our operations, where you'll negotiate outstanding supplier agreements, secure the best rates, and enhance trip profitability, all while ensuring exceptional service standards. You'll build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers through regular communication and visits, set and manage trip costs, and collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate costings and invoicing. Additionally, you'll oversee the maintenance and effective use of our pricing system, and work closely with other departments to address supplier issues and navigate crisis situations.
You'll manage the Contracting function in the region by streamlining processes, improving Intrepid`s buying power and visibility in the region, strengthening relationships and sourcing new partners and suppliers. You will collaborate closely and provide vital support to Destination Product, Operations, Reservations, and Finance teams.
Initially remote, this full-time, permanent role will need to be based in Central Europe in one of the following regions: Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland or Hungary.Travel within the region and to our office in Croatia will be required, with the position transitioning to an office-based role once our Central Europe office is established.
Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:

Proven experience in contracting, sourcing suppliers, and managing supplier agreements within the Travel Industry in Central Europe.

Previous experience working in DMC and securing small group allotments preferred.

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive terms.

Experience managing staff and leading successful teams.

Excellent communication skills in English, with additional European languages being an advantage.

Understanding of the local travel industry in Europe, including market dynamics and supplier networks.

Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the region.

Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail.
