Deputy Operations Manager, Cycling
We’re looking for a Deputy Operations Manager - Cycling to join our team in Zagreb, Croatia. This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid role where you’ll oversee Cycling Operations across Croatia, the Balkans, and Central Europe.
You’ll be at the heart of delivering unforgettable cycling adventures, managing our bike and vehicle fleets, and supporting our Tour Leaders to create extraordinary experiences for our travellers. Safety, reliability, and seamless organisation are at the core of everything you do, but you’ll also be making a tangible impact on the experiences our guests have on the ground.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of scheduling, maintaining, and replacing bikes and vehicles to ensure trips run efficiently and reliably, while driving preventative maintenance to minimise downtime. You’ll manage incident reporting and insurance claims, provide operational guidance and support to Tour Leaders, and collaborate across departments to ensure consistency and excellence in cycling product delivery.
You’ll also contribute to improving operational processes and standards, helping to build a culture of safety, compliance, and exceptional customer experiences, all while keeping the wheels turning - literally and figuratively - behind some of our most memorable cycling adventures.
Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:
-
Operational experience in the travel or cycling industry, ideally as a Cycling Tour Leader, driver, or in bike maintenance
-
Proven ability to manage crises and take responsibility for the safety of others
-
Experience scheduling and maintaining fleets, ensuring reliability and performance
-
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
-
Hands-on experience repairing or maintaining equipment (1–2 years minimum)
-
Office administration and computer skills, including the ability to train others
-
A collaborative mindset and ability to work with diverse teams while maintaining excellent customer experiences
Nice to have:
-
Passion for cycling and in-depth knowledge of bikes and equipment
-
Experience developing fleet replacement or renewal strategies
Please note: Over the Christmas and New Year period, we will be pausing active recruitment. You may experience a delay in communication during this time, but we’ll resume reviewing applications in early January. Thank you for your patience.
