The world needs more Intrepid people: 

We are looking for a new Operations Manager to lead our Operations department for Central America! As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, successful, and profitable running of all trips across Central America in line with standards and policies laid out by Intrepid. You will be the main point of contact for all operational matters, spanning from Tour Leaders, offices and Global Operations. 

 

In addition to this, you will be responsible for the operational performance of Intrepid trips and Tour Leaders in your region and will contribute to the overall direction and success of Intrepid Central America as a key member of the region’s management team. 

 

This is a full time, permanent position located out of our office in San Jose, Costa Rica. To provide the best experience to our people, this role would operate mostly out of our office with some work-from-home days.  

 

Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:  

  • In-depth knowledge of product, itineraries, destinations, and the adventure travel industry in Central America.

  • Experience in managing people and teams, including remote employees and experience in training 

  • Background in operations management and/or tour leading/guiding 

  • Ability to manage crises calmly and effectively and take responsibility for the safety of others 

  • Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to delegate 

  • Excellent written and spoken communicate skills in both Spanish and English
