We’re all about creating purpose-led, life-changing travel experiences which is why we’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to help us deliver amazing trips across China!

In this role, you’ll oversee the end-to-end operations of our China trips, and ensure they meet the Intrepid Standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. You’ll be the main point of contact between the field, the Beijing country office and Global Operations. You’ll lead and support our Tour Guides and Operations team, managing their performance while driving collaboration and growth.

As part of the Intrepid China Management Team, you’ll support the strategic direction of our Intrepid China operations, ensuring our values are reflected in every decision we make. From addressing real-time trip issues to continuously improving our services, you’ll play a hands-on role in shaping the experience for thousands of travellers!

This is a full-time contract position of 2 years, based in our Beijing office, requiring some flexibility in work hours due to the operational nature of the role.

Some of the essential experience you’ll bring may include:

Extensive travel industry experience, ideally in a mid to senior operational management role.

First-hand travel experience in the region

Familiar with resolving emergency situations on-ground and overseeing all trip operations

Experience as an Intrepid Group Leader or similar role in adventure travel would be highly regarded.

Strong communication skills in both English and the local language.

Proven ability to manage both hands-on tasks and administrative responsibilities. #LI-DNI
