Finance Assistant
Chile
Are you great with numbers and keeping things organized? Join our Finance team and help keep payments, invoices and financial records running smoothly.
As the Finance Assistant for DMC Chile, you’ll provide day-to-day operational support to the Finance Manager, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded in D365 (or the applicable accounting system). Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll work closely with our Operations and Reservations teams to support the smooth running of our financial processes.
You’ll be responsible for managing supplier and freelance Tour Leader payments across multiple currencies (CLP, USD, ARS and BRL), processing tax and payroll payments, and issuing client invoices in line with local tax regulations. You’ll also track advances and deposits, maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable records, process accounting entries, complete bank reconciliations and support the monthly accounting close.
Beyond the day-to-day, you’ll look for opportunities to improve processes, spreadsheets and ways of working to reduce errors and turnaround times. This will be particularly important during our busy high season, which runs from October to March.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in our Santiago office, with a hybrid working arrangement that allows you to work from home up to two days per week.
A passion for travel is a must-have! With it you’ll bring:
-
• Technical or professional qualification in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
-
1–2 years of experience in payments, invoicing, reconciliations, or accounting.
-
Knowledge of Chilean tax regulations, including SII, VAT, export of services, exempt invoices and boletas de honorarios.
-
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
-
Intermediate English proficiency.
-
Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines during the high season (October to March).
