The world needs more Intrepid people: 

Bamarru Plains is an all-inclusive Australian safari camp in the Northern Territory's tropical Top End, where guests experience some of Australia's most spectacular wildlife and birdlife. Set across more than 300 square kilometres of pristine floodplains and savanna woodland on the edge of Kakadu National Park, this exclusive, off-grid destination features just twelve guest lodgings, offering an intimate wilderness experience for our guests. 

 

The Opportunity  

Bamarru Plains caters to up to 35 guests, and we are looking for a highly talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our award-winning team, set on a safari camp in the Northern Territory with a spectacular backdrop of the Red Centre, you will bring your love and expertise of fine food to elevate the dining experience to new heights for the region.   

 

As our Sous Chef, you will support our Head Chef, ensuring the high standard of the kitchen with daily preparation and running of service. You'll take responsibility for completing health and safety logs and inspecting incoming goods for quality. Alongside amazing our guests with an exceptional culinary experience, they will always remember!  

 

This is a full-time role based on site in Bamarru Plains.  

 

We’d love to hear from you if you:  

  • Have proven work experience as a Sous chef (or similar) in high-end restaurants or luxury accommodation  

  • Are a team player with a positive attitude and a desire to bring fresh exciting ideas  

  • Hold excellent technical knowledge and experience in all cooking techniques and styles.  

  • Know how to manage your time, are highly organised, and work well under pressure  

  • Are skilled in Catering for dietaries without compromising on enjoyment.
