Maintenance and Grounds Coordinator
Trade the ordinary for the extraordinary at Arkaba, a luxury outback lodge set amongst 63,000 acres of breathtaking South Australian wilderness. As our Maintenance & Grounds Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in preserving not only the lodge and its beautiful surroundings, but also the unforgettable experiences our guests enjoy every day. From keeping gardens flourishing to ensuring facilities are running seamlessly, you'll take pride in creating an environment where nature, conservation and luxury exist in perfect harmony.
No two days are the same in this hands-on role. You'll oversee preventative maintenance across the property, care for landscaped gardens and outdoor spaces, maintain essential infrastructure, and work alongside the lodge team to ensure every guest arrives to a property that looks and feels exceptional. You'll also contribute to Arkaba's conservation and sustainability initiatives, helping protect this remarkable landscape for generations to come.
We're looking for someone who's practical, proactive and takes genuine pride in their work. Whether your background is in property maintenance, trades, landscaping or groundskeeping, you'll thrive in a remote environment where initiative, attention to detail and a love of the outdoors are valued. In return, you'll become part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering world-class hospitality in one of Australia's most unique destinations.
This is a full time role, based on-site in Arkaba, in the Flinders Ranges. We will provide the successful candidate with accommodation and $500 monthly food allowance as part of their package.
Some of the experience you bring may include:
-
Relevant trade, maintenance, or hands-on practical experience
-
Demonstrated experience in general property maintenance
-
Experience in gardening, landscaping, or groundskeeping highly desirable
-
Basic understanding of irrigation systems and horticulture preferred
-
First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
-
Current driver’s licence
