The world needs more Intrepid people: 

Swap the ordinary for the extraordinary and join one of Australia's most iconic outback wilderness experiences. Nestled in the spectacular Flinders Ranges, Arkaba offers guests an immersive luxury safari experience where conservation, adventure and storytelling come together. We're looking for a passionate Field Guide who can bring the landscape to life, sharing the region's remarkable wildlife, natural history and conservation story through unforgettable guest experiences. 

 

As a Field Guide, you'll lead engaging guided activities across the property, delivering insightful presentations and creating meaningful connections between guests and the environment. From wildlife encounters and scenic explorations to welcoming guests on arrival and supporting lodge operations, no two days are the same. You'll play a key role in ensuring every guest enjoys exceptional service, authentic experiences and the warm hospitality that Arkaba is renowned for. 

 

We're seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide who thrives outdoors, enjoys connecting with people and takes pride in delivering luxury-level service. You'll hold an LR Driver's Licence, SA Driver Accreditation, Wilderness First Aid and CPR certification, and an RSA. In return, you'll have the opportunity to work in one of Australia's most breathtaking landscapes, contribute to important conservation initiatives and be part of a passionate team dedicated to creating extraordinary travel experiences.  

   

This is a full-time, ongoing role Based out of Arkaba Homestead in the Flinders Ranges recruiting immediately.  

 

To be considered you must have:   

  • Excellent communication skills in English with a strong customer service mindset and the ability to build rapport with a broad range of travellers   

  • Full rights to work in Australia  

  • You must have or be able to quickly obtain an LR drivers license, a SA passenger accreditation, a Wilderness First Aid/CPR and an RSA 

  • Previous experience guiding walks would be hugely desirable
