Decarbonisation Manager
We are looking for a Decarbonisation Manager who will be at the forefront of shaping our mission to change the way the world explores, specifically a low carbon future for the travel industry. This is an opportunity to combine purpose with adventure, by implementing the strategy that reduces our environmental footprint across supply chains, itineraries and operations, and ensuring Intrepid continues to set the benchmark for responsible travel.
Sitting within our environmental division, this role will work hand-in-hand with passionate teams internally as well as our global supplier network to deliver measurable, business-wide carbon reductions. From managing our decarbonisation projects to driving renewable energy adoption in our offices and accommodation offerings, you’ll take on complex challenges with forward thinking, data-driven insights and the ability to bring people on the journey. You will be able to represent Intrepid externally and collaborate with industry partners, piloting emerging technologies and securing funding which propels our climate innovation.
If you’re passionate about sustainability with proven experience in designing and implementing decarbonisation initiatives, stakeholder engagement and strong project management skills, this is a role where your contribution can have an impact globally, not only by the Intrepid workforce, but by the planet.
This is a full-time permanent position based out of either of our offices in Melbourne or London, with lots of flexibility for hybrid working, or we would consider remote for the right candidate.
Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:
-
5+ years’ experience in designing and implementing decarbonisation initiatives such as EV and Solar Energy
-
Experience in supply chain sustainability and supplier engagement
-
Knowledge of decarbonisation solutions
-
Project management skills for decarbonisation initiatives and advanced Excel skills
-
Data analysis/reporting and GHG inventory experience
-
Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
