The world needs more Intrepid people: 

The Fleet Manager works with the Operations Director to oversee the fleet logistics and safety compliance for the entire range of Intrepid US, Inc. fleet resources for all trips operated in North America. This role will develop, maintain, and have oversight of the organization’s health and safety policies in DOT and driver compliance.  

 

This role will have the direction and authority to take the lead in ensuring safety and fleet requirements and standards are met by business area and across the company, whilst working closely with the North American management team to develop, support and provide guidance to the Operations Managers of the Intrepid operations team.  

 

This role will also work with the Wildland Trekking Company LLC in regard to answering questions about DOT regulation, and in conjunction with the wider operations staff based in North America and globally. 

 

 This is a Full-Time Permanent Position that will operate onsite out of our office in Denver, Colorado.  

 

Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include: 

  • In-depth knowledge of all applicable safety rules and regulations – FMCSA, DOT, CA DOT, CPUC 

  • Prior fleet maintenance scheduling 

  • Annual lease negotiating for 15 passenger vans 

  • Knowledge of small (5x8) trailers, both in Maintenace and use 

  • Training a staff of 25 to drive a vans and trailers around North America 

  • Highly organized and communicative – must be able to interact effectively at all levels, both internally and externally  

  • Ability to perform in an environment with ambiguous situations, rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines  

  • Keen interest and proven track record in managing health & safety and operational compliance  

  • Proven record of making well-informed decisions in both routine and emergency situations  

  • 5+ years of experience working in the travel industry  

  • A strong preference for candidates who have a CDL or are willing and able to obtain a Class C CDL with Passenger Endorsement.
