General Manager, Finance - EMEA
As the General Manager, Finance - EMEA, you will be a senior leader within the EMEA Leadership Team, reporting to the EMEA Managing Director with a dotted line to the Group CFO. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the region’s financial activities, ensuring accurate and compliant financial information, and providing strategic financial guidance to drive business growth.
You will lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting, while executing strategic initiatives across the EMEA region. Collaborating with the EMEA Managing Director, General Managers, and Finance Managers, you will also align closely with Group Finance. The role requires adaptability, with occasional travel across the EMEA region to support key stakeholders.
This is a full-time, permanent position, preferably based in London, though location is flexible within the region.
What you’ll do:
- Provide strategic financial leadership and commercial analysis to drive financial performance and support business objectives.
- Ensure accurate, transparent, and compliant financial reporting in alignment with regional and Group Finance requirements.
- Lead financial planning processes, including budgeting and forecasting, offering data-driven insights to support strategic goals.
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business growth while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
- Mentor and guide Finance Managers, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Adapt to a dynamic business environment by leading or supporting key financial projects, including M&A initiatives.
Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:
- CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent).
- 10+ years of finance experience, with 5+ years in leadership roles blending compliance and commercial expertise.
- Expertise in business performance reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Strong commercial acumen and proven leadership, with the ability to influence and drive results.
- Experience in the travel industry, especially adventure tourism (desirable).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365, IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), and PowerBI.
- Familiarity with UK Package Travel Regulation and EU Package Travel Directive.
