The world needs more Intrepid people: 

As a Deputy Operations Manager, you’ll provide managerial and administrative support to the Operations Manager, handling day-to-day trip issues and on-the-ground trip organization. You’ll contribute to the successful operation of all Sri Lanka trips and travel products under Intrepid DMC Colombo. You'll also support in effectively managing our Leaders, providing them access to updated trip information, maintaining their trip reports and responding to any operational queries. By being collaborative, you’ll ensure that the Operations Team, Leaders and stakeholders are constantly updated on crucial changes. 
 
This is a full-time permanent position, based in our Colombo office, requiring some flexibility in work hours due to the operational nature of the role.  
To provide the best experience for our people, this role would operate in our office with the opportunity to work from home on occasion.  
 

Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include: 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a destination management company, ideally in an Operations capacity 

  • Extensive travel experience in Sri Lanka and knowledge of on-ground logistics 

  • Good people management and coaching experience 

  • Amazing customer service, organizational and time management skills 

  • Strong communication skills 

  • Good understanding of the operational function of a trip such as managing tour leaders, ensuring trips go according to plan and resolving emergency situations on-ground
