The world needs more Intrepid people: 

We’re looking for a confident and experienced Operations Manager to lead our trips across West Europe. Based in Valencia in a hybrid capacity, this full-time role is responsible for the day-to-day running of our tours, supporting a large team of leaders, and ensuring every trip meets Intrepid’s high standards.

You’ll manage trip delivery across multiple countries, lead recruitment and training for our group leaders and guides, and respond quickly when things don’t go to plan. You’ll also play a key role in improving systems, managing budgets, and making sure our safety and operational policies are followed.

This is a great opportunity for someone who knows Europe well, thrives in fast-paced environments, and brings a strong understanding of what great group travel looks like.

Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include: 

  • Senior-level operations management experience across multiple locations or countries 
  • Strong knowledge of Europe’s travel industry and cultural landscape 
  • Previous experience as a Group Leader or in a similar on-the-ground role 
  • Proven ability to recruit, train and manage large remote teams 
  • Confidence managing operational budgets, safety processes and incident response 
  • A process-driven mindset with strong cross-functional collaboration skills 
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is essential, with any other European languages such as Italian, French and Portuguese as a plus.
