Contracting Manager

You will take responsibility for developing Intrepid’s service range by building effective contracting systems and sourcing and securing the most authentic, sustainable, and competitive suppliers to bring our trips to life. From boutique stays and unforgettable experiences to transport which moves travelers closer to the heart of a destination, you’ll play a key role in shaping experiences that are real, responsible, and memorable.
This role is a chance to blend your proven commercial expertise with a passion for travel. You’ll be leading negotiations, building long-lasting supplier relationships, and ensuring our trips remain both competitively priced and true to our purpose — travel which benefits both people and the planet. This is a full-time position based in our Auckland office which allows some flexibility to work from home.
Some of the experience you’ll bring might include:

10+ years experience in the travel Industry and in senior roles aligned with supply contracting

Outstanding communication skills and people and relationship management skills

Initiative to problem solve, make decisions confidently and implement continuous improvement of processes

Outstanding commercial, pricing, and analytical skills with a data first led approach

Excellent persuasion and negotiation skills.

Highly ‘tech systems’ literate with a natural flair for Excel
