The world needs more Intrepid people:

Intrepid Travel is launching its first-ever Riad in Marrakech — and we’re looking for a passionate and experienced hospitality leader to bring it to life. As General Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of the Riad, ensuring smooth operations, exceptional guest experiences, and strong commercial performance. You’ll lead a dedicated local team and help shape how our accommodation offering complements and enhances Intrepid’s style of experience-rich travel.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Marrakech, Morocco.

A bit about the role:

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who thrives on building a great culture, delivering outstanding guest experiences, and driving a successful hospitality business. You’ll oversee all aspects of operations across the Riad — including Food & Beverage, Rooms, Security, and Spa — while managing the budget, developing a high-performing team, and positioning the Riad as a stand-out offering in both local and global markets.

You’ll play a key role in:

  • Leading the energy and strategy behind the re-opening of the Riad and delivering a truly Intrepid experience

  • Supporting the launch of future accommodation projects in Morocco

  • Integrating the Riad into our wider tour offering, helping shape what Intrepid’s in-destination experience looks and feels like

  • Bringing to life Intrepid’s values of sustainability and inclusivity, with a particular focus on gender equity and local empowerment

Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a similar leadership role managing accommodation, ideally a Riad or boutique property

  • A degree in Hospitality Management or a related field

  • Fluency in French, Arabic, and English

  • Strong knowledge across key hotel/Riad functions: Food & Beverage, Rooms, Security, and Spa

  • Proven people leadership, including hiring, training, and guiding high-performing teams

  • Commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

  • A passion for exceptional guest service and a strong eye for detail

  • A commitment to sustainable, culturally respectful tourism

  • Confidence working across diverse teams and with international stakeholders

If you’ve previously launched or repositioned a property, or worked with a global travel or hospitality brand, that’s a bonus too! This is a rare opportunity to shape something from the ground up and make a real impact — for travellers, your team, and Intrepid. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
