At Intrepid, numbers are the backbone of our story and our Japan team is looking for a Finance Assistant to help us perfect these numbers!

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time. You’ll support monthly and year-end closings, bank account management, and administration of leader funds. You’ll check our accounts payables and process our receivables, maintaining order and accountability.  
But this is more than a desk job! You'll also put your people skills to work by supporting leader trainings and collaborating with various stakeholders.

This is a full-time permanent position, where you will work in our office in Osaka, Japan. To provide the best experience for our people, this role would operate in our office with the opportunity to work from home on occasion.

Some of the essential experience you’ll bring may include: 

  • 3+ years’ experience in finance or accounting in Japan 
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts payable, cash flow management and bank reconciliations 
  • Fluency in both Japanese and English 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with practical experience using accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred) 
  • Familiarity with IFRS, Japan GAAP or Japan taxation processes
