Contracting Manager, North Europe
At Intrepid, we’re on a mission to create unforgettable adventures that benefit both our travellers and the destinations we explore. As a certified B Corp and one of the world’s largest adventure travel company, we’re committed to responsible, experience-rich travel and we’re looking for a Contracting Manager to lead our supplier partnerships in the Nordic region.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of expanding our supplier network, negotiating competitive rates, and enhancing trip profitability. Working closely with Product, Operations, Sales, and Finance teams, you’ll ensure our trips deliver exceptional experiences while meeting business goals.
You’ll also manage the Contracting function in the region by streamlining processes, improving Intrepid’s buying power and visibility, strengthening relationships, and sourcing new partners and suppliers in areas of accommodation and transportation across North Europe. Additionally, you’ll lead and develop the contracting team, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
If you have a strong background in contracting, negotiation, supplier management, and a passion for the travel industry, this could be the role for you! It is also important that you have experience with suppliers or supplier networks in North Europe (Nordics, Baltics, UK, and Ireland) within the travel industry.
This is a full-time, permanent role based out of our Copenhagen office in a hybrid capacity.
Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:
-
Proven experience in supplier contracting, sourcing, and contract management in North Europe.
-
Previous experience working in DMC and securing small group allotments preferred.
-
Strong negotiation skills with a commercial mindset.
-
Experience managing staff and leading a team.
-
Creativity in sourcing great contacts and suppliers for group travel experiences.
-
Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of additional European or Nordic languages is an advantage.
-
Understanding of the local travel industry in Europe, particularly the Nordic region.
