The world needs more Intrepid people: 

 

As a Skipper for Intrepid the safety and well-being of our travellers on board is your primary responsibility. You will be commanding Intrepid’s chartered sailing boat (18m) and safely navigating the vessel to the stops along your pre-determined itinerary. Throughout the journey, you will play a pivotal role in enriching the experience of our travellers and helping them fall in love with the journey. 

 

Your extensive knowledge of navigation, weather patterns, maritime laws, etc. will allow you to make informed decisions about where to go, how to get there, and what precautions to take along the way. Intrepid Skippers are also responsible for ensuring that the vessel is properly maintained, cleaned, and supplied with everything it needs to operate smoothly. To become a Skipper with Intrepid you’ll need:

 

  • Skipper License 
  • 2+ years of professional sailing experience 
  • Strong navigational skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in any other languages is desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 

You will have strong customer service skills and experience developing a rapport with a broad range of individuals and groups. You will also be a passionate, collaborative, committed individual, who shares in Intrepid’s core values of integrity, innovation, fun, passion, growth, and responsibility.
